Often I cannot upload a new background image... the upload spinner is shown, after a couple seconds it will be hidden, but the picture has not been uploaded

On my M1 Macbook Pro, VCam AI has an unusable amount of lag in Photo Booth and QuickTime. Trying to record into either of those results in a 1 FPS slideshow. I don't know what's going on, even with all other programs closed it's still unusable. I spent $30 on this license and it doesn't even work. I want a refund.

In VCam.ai when I edit a video background and set a blur effect like seen in the screenshot the effect is lost after switching to a different background and back to the previous one. The slider still shows that the background should have a blur effect but it's not applied to the actual video background. Only after adjusting the blur slider the effect is applied.
